Julia Zhang, Managing Director, Chemicals & Materials

Julia Zhang is MRI China Group’s Managing Director for Chemicals & Materials. In her role, Julia leads and steers the Chemicals and Materials Team that is known for its high rate of repeat business and consistent delivery of top quality services for key clients and candidates in this industry sector.

She has 15 years management and industry experience in Asia, particularly China, setting up sales offices in Hong Kong and China for major European and US paper distributors before joining MRI. Julia also worked in Hong Kong in the 90's and is familiar with local Chinese manufacturing environments in printing, packaging and paper related sectors.

Prior to her career with MRI in Shanghai, Julia spent years in Business Development in the paper and packaging industry. She then joined a B2B Internet company in Paris, responsible for strategic marketing, corporate communications and site development.

Julia is a degree holder from Beijing University and graduated from Vienna University with a Master's Degree in Sinology, International Law and Economics. Julia speaks Mandarin, German, English and French.
