John Appleby joined MRI China Group as the Managing Director of Regional Banking Practice. He came from a major international recruitment firm where he ran their HK office. Previously he has worked for top – tier search firms in Asia and has a strong track record of building and growing regional recruitment businesses.
John has seven years experience of top-level search in Asia and was voted #4 in the AsiaMoney 2004 Headhunters Poll for Corporate Finance/Investment banking search and top 10 in the 2006 Poll for Fixed Income and Derivatives.
John has successfully completed senior-level assignments across Asia in Fixed Income, Treasury, Derivatives and Corporate Finance covering the whole region including Greater China, Korea and South East Asia.
Prior to embarking on a career in executive search, John held several senior trading and sales positions within leading international investment banks in London, in a career that spanned 14 years.
