Hong Kong; 18 August 2008 –MRI China Group, one of the leading and fastest growing recruitment consultancies in Asia, has appointed Keith Cheuk as the Practice Leader for its Chinese Corporates Business Division. In his new capacity, Cheuk will be responsible for strategic overview, localisation of the MRI China methodology and collateral, management of the division, and growing business opportunities within China's homegrown corporate customers and prospects.
Cheuk has been based in South China since 2005, after working in Hong Kong for 10 years. His professional experience in China includes executive search for senior positions and pre-IPO, RPO projects as well as volume recruitment in Telecom and Financial sectors.
Cheuk was previously Director of a significant Guangzhou based local recruitment and training firm, leading a team of 25 consultants in its Guangzhou and Shenzhen offices. In this role he oversaw a doubling of revenues and was pivotal in cultivating MNC and domestic clients in the FMCG, IT and manufacturing sectors. Previously, Cheuk was the managing consultant at KTS Management Consultants from 2005 to 2006. During his tenure, he had set up the executive search department in Guangzhou and was overseeing the company’s market research and marketing programmes.

Cheuk entered the recruitment industry after leaving PPP, a Hong Kong-based publisher of market analysis reports and coffee table books where he was the assistant publisher from 2002 to 2004. He was responsible for sales and marketing operations in China, handling key accounts such as HSBC, Mastercard, Bloomberg, JPMorgan, Shanghai Business Park and GlaxoSmithKline. From 1999 to 2001, Cheuk was the Information Manager for the Research Department of Savills (HK) Ltd.
Cheuk holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from West Coast Institute of Management & Technology, Australia. He currently sits on the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong’s Executive Committee.
