MRI China Group has built up a very strong practice in this area. In the last two years, MRI has completed more than 50 placements with multinational companies in the following key functions: Business Development, Operations Management, Sea/Air Freight Manager, Key Account Management and Transportation Management as well as other general support function such as HR, Finance, IT and Marketing.

This is a major achievement as whilst the Freight Forwarding sector talent in China is relatively mature, the Logistics and Express sectors is seriously lacking of experienced talent. With almost every company is expanding their business in China, demand of local talent is increasingly high; while the supply has been short, which makes it a challenging candidate driven market.

Many international players took advantage of the CEPA agreement and established their presence in China in 2004. Companies are now enjoying high growth rates of up to 30% in China which will further heat up the talent market in this sector.
